He might also lead church or a company or a baseball team or a homeowner’s association. And what about girls? We’re all familiar with Proverbs 31, but a close look at that woman reveals an impressive skill set.
As homeschoolers we have an unparalleled advantage to prepare our kids for life, but we’ve got to be intentional about it. The standard American school system spends 13 years on academics, but doesn’t usually teach kids how to run a business or invent a product and take it to market or comparison shop or grow food or invest money or do house and car repairs or file taxes or resolve conflicts — the list goes on and on.
We live in the land of opportunity, but most of the public hasn’t learned how to take advantage of the wide range of opportunities here. This doesn’t have to be the case for homeschoolers.
